Three stars is the average of the two bean bags we received. Ordered blue and red. I would give blue 5 stars, but red has problems with 1 star max. The positives: It's big and the cover is soft. Cons: The red one was harder to tear apart to expand. It "melted" more slowly (it's a compressed 2ft cubic rock). There are some hard foam pieces mixed with soft sponge foam like a piece of plastic. I tried to open the bag to get it out but the inside zipper was completely jammed and I couldn't open the bag. And my biggest complaint about red is the smell, it's awful. Blue almost didn't smell after fluffing it up. But red still smells strongly of styrofoam after a month. I've even tried spraying him with fever while he's currently in a well-ventilated area (not 5ft from the blue, which is perfectly fine). I just hope the smell goes away eventually, otherwise it's a real waste. Again, I didn't have a problem with blue - though. I would return the red one but I doubt they will make the box big enough for that fluffy bean bag.
