The soldering iron worked once. Support refused an exchange for the new product

This soldering iron did not come with a charger when you received it. I had a cell phone charger with the same plug. I plugged it in and it got hot very quickly. I tinned the iron and put it aside for the next time you need a soldering iron. Yesterday I went to the soldering iron. I plugged it into the same charger and outlet. The soldering iron's display lit up, but did not heat up. I tried to find instructions for this soldering iron, it's not there. I will contact the seller and see if they send me a new one but I was very disappointed that I spent $109 on something that once worked. Update: SainSmart customer service does not allow product returns. I just wanted an exchange for a working product. I received a message that I am using a charger that is not compatible with the product. Well, I used the same charging cable and connector I used to test when it first arrived. Same cord, plug and socket I used when it arrived. That does not work. I am very disappointed that the company does not endorse their product. Especially for a $109 soldering iron. it should almost solder itself. If you
