I bought this to replace my Garmin which has a built in traffic receiver and requires an antenna in the power cord. It was advertised as such. I drove my car onto a street with a good traffic light and used a Garmin cable. The traffic light came within minutes. Then I switched to this cable, after a full 15 minutes of waiting, nothing. I then switched back to a standard Garmin cable with the same branding and EDO rating as this one and started getting traffic reports again a few minutes later. Despite the advertising, this charging cable does NOT have a travel antenna. I returned the cable for a full refund and will stick with the Garmin cables. They may cost a little more, but they work!
