Arduino boards are primarily used for development, but I use an Arduino Mega to drive some stepper motors and lots of I/O on a foam cutting machine I'm building. Construction. The Arduino is great for this, but wiring it directly to the board is impractical for a permanent installation. On the last machine I used tape to secure the wires to the connectors which is not a good solution! This time I bought a terminal block opening module with saloon screw terminals and it's a great solution as you now have screw connections to attach the wires. to Arduino. I like to use spade lugs on all my cables, which prevents stray strands of wire from causing misconnections and more debugging later, but they can block access to other connectors. The trick is to start by connecting the lower terminals first and work your way up to the higher numbers. If you later need access to a smaller number, you may need to temporarily remove some wires to get to the one you need to replace! to my backplane so all is good and safe. This is a great product and I will use it again!
