Works as a great whole house water filter.
I don't want salt added to our water or environment so this is better and cheaper than reverse osmosis or water distillation. It's a city water filter, and boy, if you saw that last filter, REVEAL. I then had a drinking water filter installed under the kitchen faucet. This looks better than this when I change it, so it does the job well. I tested the water in a lab and the levels were acceptable for what you might have in city water, but that brought it down even further.
