I installed this product on a '04 Honda Element and need an extension to access the trailer through the rear door. You need to remove the right rear seat and unscrew the seat bracket. (3 bolts) You will also need to remove the seat belt bolt. Remove the screws holding the interior and remove the seat belt portion, the rear pillar and the corner piece that is behind the seat. I lifted the ledge at the bottom of the door just enough to reveal the side. Slowly and carefully move backwards off the side door, if something doesn't move you may have missed a screw. Once the side is detached the connector is at the rear and route the wire under the side into the spare tire well. Make sure the door seal is on the outside of the plastic when you put it back together. Take your time and don't use too much force.
