Highly recommend for in-ceiling and in-ceiling speakers
Much better than just installing the speaker in drywall. It offers better rigidity and controlled volume. Also, it gives the drywall builder a good template to work with. Definitely worth it if you can afford the luxury of going in before the drywall.
