It can clean the air well, but it's too loud to keep going most of the time. I keep it on the lowest speed so it doesn't make too much noise. I have many air purifiers and this is my least favorite and noisiest. Also, the buttons aren't particularly touch-sensitive and you have to keep touching them or holding them down or something like that. I don't know exactly how to get them to work but they work after you touch them long enough or long enough or something like that.
