Review on Experience Ultimate Performance with the Kenda Small Block 8 XC Mountain Bike Tire by Brad Collins

After a long off-road ride with friends I started practicing and discovered how much a light tire makes a difference in the long run. I usually use Kenda Nevegal tires, which are a lot heavier and feel a lot stiffer, but I needed something that would help me get 55 miles of mountain trail. These tires have performed great on the road and in time I will change my girlfriend's bike too. I haven't tried them in mud but they had almost the same grip as the Nevegal on loose gravel and dry dirt. The Nevegal was noticeably more comfortable in gravel turns and they got slippery. As long as I could slow down a bit before entering the corner it was fine as it wasn't a race. I think they paid off and will only return Nevegals for a muddy or very muddy ride. Mixed daily riding is much easier for them.
