Review on Annamaet Grain Free Sustain Line Caught Free Range Dogs by Nancy Ortega

Revainrating 4 out of 5

This meal met with a lukewarm reception at first; Be careful with daily grain free feeding

I got this for two of my girlfriend's dogs to supplement with other food. Sophie ate it, but Sadie initially refused, but then got used to this piece. They deteriorate when hand fed (see photo). The croquettes are dark in color and round in shape. First Ingredients: Cod, Turkey Meal, Lentils, Sweet Potatoes, Green Peas, Pea Protein Isolate, Tapioca, Chicken Fat (Preserved With Mixed Tocopherols), Sunflower Oil, Natural Flavor, Dried Cranberries, Dried Blueberries, Dried Chicory Root, Turmeric. , Marine Microalgae, Lecithin, DL-Methionine, Taurine, L-Lysine, Lactobacillus Acidophilus Anhydrous Fermentation Product, Salt, Vitamin E Supplement, L-Ascorbyl-2-Polyphosphate (Source of Vitamin C), Niacin Supplement, Biotin, Thiamine Mononitrate, L - Carnitine, D-Calcium Pantothenate, Riboflavin Supplement, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Vitamin A Acetate, etc. The ingredients are good except peas and lentils. Please note that it is not recommended to feed your dog exclusively grain-free unless they are allergic to grains. This is because veterinarians are discovering a link between heart disease (like dilated cardiomyopathy in dogs) and grain-free dog food. This disease is mainly associated with foods that contain peas, lentils, other legumes or potatoes as the main ingredients and there are two in this product. However, I believe it is okay to feed this food only as a supplement to the dog's diet and not as the sole daily meal for life. The current price of $20.99 is too high compared to the competitive price of a five pound bag of this type of food. Both dogs got good grades.
