When I use this propane lamp I don't even feel like I'm working because it's so much fun! From the second press of the red fire button on the stick I start to get excited, then phew I see a bright orange flame and here I am remembering my lifelong love of fire! This burner produces intense heat and flames. It has a gas adjustment right on the stick and I was able to visualize my flame from 6-12 inches. Remember that this is the visible part. Once I found the perfect adjustment between the valve on the propane tank and the valve on the pipe I was able to get a nice blue flame. This wand has a trigger, and when the trigger is pulled, it delivers a powerful, large amount of propane gas to the end of the nozzle until the trigger is released. When the trigger is released, it only allows a very small amount of propane through the nozzle to keep the burner burning so it doesn't have to be re-ignited. You can't waste propane by having a trigger on this tool. I like to save fuel because it gives me more time to use this tool. This burner makes a little noise when the trigger is pulled, but that doesn't bother me. It sounds like a really cool miniature version of a fighter jet engine. We also have to talk about the amount of smoke and noxious fumes that will surround you when using this. Using this burner in very small places may not produce very much smoke. If you use it for big sections of 10-20ft like I did, you're going to get quite a bit of smoke, vapor and flying red ash, so I highly recommend protective gear for your lungs and eyes. I wear a full face respirator to protect my lungs and eyes, but depending on what you're doing with your torch you may need more or less protection. It would also be a good idea to run a water hose and keep it nearby as the flames can easily get out of control and cause unwanted damage. Overall, I'm incredibly impressed with this burner. There is plenty of flame, has a very long hose and is very well designed. I'll keep looking for a chore that gives me a chance to use this because it's so much fun!
