Review on Baomain Ammeter 65C5: DC 0-30 A Analog Panel Meter with Built-In Shunt - Class 2.5, CE Listed by Greg Horn

The device I received has a built in shunt.

I bought this ammeter and matching DC voltmeter and installed them in the panel and hammered it to give my solar panel input monitor section a vintage look. Looks beautiful. However, after reading the seller's answer about the shunt (the seller states that there is no internal shunt, an external shunt must be ordered). remote meter. The voltmeter worked perfectly, but did not deviate from the ammeter even with a known 20 amperes at the input. In violation of the warranty, I opened the ammeter and found a piece of solid wire on the terminals. YES, it has an internal shunt. Now I either need to run some 10AWG wire to the meter and back to the controller. Or disable the internal shunt and calculate the internal series resistance for use with the external shunt.
