Review on Magnetic Door Stopper Pack - Stainless Steel Door Catch, Door Stopper Wall Protector, Wall Mount Door Holder with Double-Sided Adhesive Tape by Christie Miller

Solid stopper but with sharp edges and missing screws

I needed magnetic doorstops to keep the doors from closing when the wind blows in the house. With a lot of good reviews it was a pretty safe bet and they look good. So I bought a set. I just tried my first install. In general everything went well. I decided to use screws to attach everything for a more secure installation. But they do have some problems: 1. Wide flanges that are attached or screwed to the door and wall have sharp edges due to the manufacturing process. Be careful with them. I suggest either sanding or filing the edges so you don't cut your hands.2. If screws are used to fix the parts, the wall plate needs 3 screws and the door plate needs 3 screws, total 6 screws. There are only 4 screws in each pack. You must supply an additional one or waive one.3. The instructions show a door leaf without a wide flange. If that were true, you could get away with just two screws on this part. However, the flange is not removable. He's bruised. I had to drill two internal holes to clear the flange.4. There are 3 double-sided adhesive circles in the package to attach anything. It's very quick and easy. I don't know why there are 3 pads. Why not use the extra screws I needed? Anyway, I have it installed now. They work well and have magnets strong enough to hold the doors in good winds. Nevertheless, they are cheap. And you get what you pay for.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • No paint required
