I originally wrote a negative review about these sticks. In short: I have the professional qualifications to rate this product. I have many years of professional wilderness guide experience and I am quite literally an installation expert. I am also an avid Burn Man camper. I'm basically a MacGyver with no physics degree. I fitted these bars with "outriggers" for my Moss Guide Outfitter Wing setup. We were at Scofield Reservoir in Utah. This is a full RV style campground next to the lake where we used to wakesurf. I used all of my skills and experience to properly assemble my 20 year old Moss Wing. I used these posts as the perimeter posts. For the two main legs I used original Moss aluminum stays. I used slippery trucker hitches to tighten each extra guy line. If I had to use a pen, I used the US military-approved surplus "sand" pen, which is a fairly strong, wide metal pen, about 14 inches long and about 2.5 inches wide. I use them all the time. I have to use a 5 pound hammer to get them in properly. A single gust of wind that was probably over 25+ mph came when I wasn't ready. my fender and my original luggage racks were fine. These bars broke immediately. Clean breaks. Needless to say I was upset. BUT. Garden Pro's David took great care of me and I'm delighted to give these sticks another chance in a much lighter role. He didn't even hesitate to give me the money back or replace it. I honestly camp so hard I want poles so I agreed to a full replacement. You've been here for several days. He also called for proceeding. I really appreciate the excellent customer service and I look forward to using these poles - just in a lighter role (i.e. not supporting a large group structure like my Moss Outfitter Wing). They are ideal for "soft" use in the shade, sheltered areas etc. I will use them in the park and when the weather is absolutely perfect. I know I can't expect them to work in bad weather. Thank you David, thank you Garden Pro for being so sensible and sending me a new kit. This time I will not abuse them. :)
