I bought this pack for a 50km ultra hike and I think it will be a perfect fit. It's lightweight, has plenty of zippered and velcro pockets for my phone (the S5 works great), latches, a small first aid kit, and extra layers. Holders for trekking poles are also useful. I'm glad I increased the size because it gave me more freedom of movement and the pack didn't feel restrictive when the bladder was full. I have broad shoulders, although other users with similar sizes have chosen S/M, it would be too tight. Warning: on the website, the elastics that cross the chest are shown in dark grey/blue to match the other trimmings. - but mine came with bright white. I found the white color odd for a hiking backpack that would get dirty quickly.
