I was born with heart problems, so I have high blood pressure. I sweat a lot when I sleep. I ruined my last mattress because of this. I know it's gross, but there's nothing I can do about it. This case works great! I still sweat when I sleep but I bought this when I replaced my mattress 9 months ago and it has kept my mattress as good as new. No smell, no stains, no moisture on the mattress at all. Wonderful! I haven't tried any of the more expensive brands but I don't see a need. He does what he says. The top is soft, but the side that touches the mattress feels like plastic or rubber. It makes absolutely no noise when I move and I don't even feel I'm wearing it. Don't waste money on others. This is perfect if you are looking for something to protect your mattress.
