It took me a few hours to assemble the cart along with sandpaper, an X-acto knife and a heavy hammer. The legs on the upper and lower shelves can be connected with little effort, but the situation is different for the middle shelf. I ended up sanding down the plastic before attempting to add the legs and then trimming off the excess plastic that peeled off when I pounded the legs. I think the middle shelf must have been defective - it clearly didn't fit. together how it was made.
