I thought I could run with it, but unfortunately it doesn't get caught in the waistband or running belt when running fast. I will most likely use this when walking or hiking. There are two small pockets on the side for vitamins or a key; something very small. The lid holds up well. At first I thought it was a bottle. No, that is not so. In fact, you have to turn the bottle upside down and suck the water out of the plastic cap. It's a good use for your phone when wearing shorts or pants with no pockets.
