Requires entrance light to turn on at dusk and turn off at a specific time (not sunrise). Once set up, it was easy to program the desired function with Alexa. Once installed, I decided to connect it (via Alexa) to my Ring doorbell and Ring's motion-activated beacons/cameras so that the entrance lighting would also be motion-activated. Serious learning curve for me, but I'm very happy with the results. The entrance lights will now turn on after the scheduled time when either the doorbell or the warning lights above the garage door are activated by motion. Provides plenty of light for both invited and uninvited visitors late at night! The downside is that the lights themselves are bright, uncomfortable cool whites rather than pleasant daylight whites. They must also set up their own intrusive information application, even if it is not otherwise used. If I had to remodel I would pay extra and buy ring bulbs. I was able to get the same results, just easier.
