Review on Bracketron Nav-Mat Portable GPS Dash Pad: Reliable Windshield to Dashboard Conversion Solution with Weighted Beanbag and Friction Base by Ryan Hoover

It works out. Far exceeded my expectations.

I'm having trouble mounting the GPS on my 2017 Dodge Caravan. The windshield was too steep and too far away to reach with a suction cup mount. There's not even room in the dash area (no excuse Dodge didn't put it there, they're on all our other cars) to use a different type of mount. So I decided to give it a try, although it would be sitting on a part of the dashboard that was slightly tilted and felt too slippery. I expected it to slide forward every time I hit the brakes. I was wrong. The thing really works. Even a couple of times when I had to brake hard or swerve to avoid something, it stayed in place. I'm sure it can be moved with some emergency maneuvers, but that hasn't happened to me yet. I also like that I can just put the sat nav out of my sight when parking and stow it in a safe place out of direct reach. sunbeam. When I get back to the van I can just put it back on the dashboard. This product far exceeded my expectations. I would recommend it to anyone who cannot use a fixed mount in their car.
