Do not fill the bag completely if you want to tie the bag. I tried not to pour liquids into the bag based on other reviews and my first bag held up well. Be careful when separating the pouches along the tear line as I tore one of the new pouches and had to tape it shut. My second bag didn't hold up; The bottom fell out when I took it out of the jar.
