Review on 🚗 MagnaFlow 12268: 5in x 8in Oval Center/Dual Straight-Through Performance Muffler Exhaust with Satin Finish - Enhanced Sound and Power Performance by Ronald Noel

I installed this muffler in late summer 2012 and late winter/early spring (2013) I finished the exhaust. The muffler adds a darn quiet rumble at idle and roars as you move away from the line. Unlike the Flowmaster, Magnaflow's no-nonsense design gives you the complete package: insulating glass flow for performance, not like a 'tin can'. Yes, at 2000-2500 RPM you get a real drone, but you get better exhaust flow without the baffles that usually damage the drone. My ONLY complaint has to do with how easily the muffler outer shell rusts. After just one winter it has developed a heavy rust layer. For a muffler marketed as "stainless," I expected it to survive the salty Michigan winter at least one more time before the color started to change. But my truck goes through the process for performance, not show. All in all a great product and the innards of the muffler are holding up.
