Review on Keep Your Gear Safe And Dry With MARCHWAY'S Waterproof Dry Bag - Perfect For Kayaking, Rafting, Boating, Camping And More! by John Maynard

Thick But No "Seal " For The Opening

Pros - the bag is a heavy duty plastic. It's opaque so no one can see what is inside, which is what I wanted. The 2 straps are handing for carrying as backpackCons -1) It's very strange for a "waterproof" bag, it has nothing to seal the opening to keep the water out. Even more strange when the seller keeps referring to the "seal" when there is NO SEAL. A seal is "a device or substance that is used to join two things", like velcro, zipper, or interlocking tracks like Zip Lock bags. Simply rolling down the top would only be waterproof if the bag only gets some random splashes of water. If it is submerged in water, good luck calling it "waterproof". Hence, one star off.2) It's questionable how the threads at the opening will hold up over time.3) As a reviewer showed from his pictures of the ripped holes, it's not a good idea to carry heavy items on with the straps. The bottom loops to clip the straps were only sewn on one single layer of plastic. It would be more secure on double layers. Either the thread will break or the plastic will be torn out. So if the bag just lays around, gets carried from the bottom, or is used for light weight items, it will be ok.

Pros
  • An affordable investment for long-term gear protection
Cons
  • The bag may not be able to accommodate bulky items without compromising on overall waterproofing
