With charging station, USB charging cable, programming cable and other goodies, this is a good little set for little money. I haven't had time to dig deep into actual output power, but for now I can hit a repeater 18 miles away with a clean, readable signal. The build quality is good and I like it so far. There are a few features you should know about.1. To use CHIRP to program the radio, you cannot use the Baofeng profile. Use "Radioddity UV-5RX3" instead.2. To broadcast on the 1.25m band you will need to download the CPS software from the Radioddity website, again for the UV-5RX3. Once connected, launch the software and select Frequency Band Matching from the Edit menu. Select "136-260/400-520". This allows for 220MHz transmission capability. I hope this saves you time to enjoy the radio to the fullest.
