I was skeptical how well this would work. This contributes to a cooling effect, especially when the filter is frozen and cold water is used. The device is at arm's length when I'm asleep; I don't know how well this works remotely. I use it in combination with a regular fan to get me through hot nights. The biggest reservation I have about the device is that the construction is a bit flimsy. The cover and the ventilation openings in the front can be easily removed. The cover can be mounted without much effort. The vents are more difficult because one more is knocked out in the process. Let's hope these issues don't indicate a device's short lifespan. At the time of writing this article, I've been using mine for about 2 weeks.
