I was skeptical how well this would work. This contributes to a cooling effect, especially when the filter is frozen and cold water is used. The device is at arm's length when I'm asleep; I don't know how well this works remotely. I use it in combination with a regular fan to get me through hot nights. One thing I have to say first is that you have enough space around the unit, about 2-3 feet on all sides, as it will blow out warm air if there isn't enough space around the unit free space is available. It blows out fairly cool air, I'd say somewhere around 60F and below when the filter is frozen (remember to wet it before freezing).
