Review on APC Protector SurgeArrest Essential PE76 by Chris Rob

Revainrating 4 out of 5

high quality and features you cannot find in other surge protectors in the same price range

Not all surge protectors are created equal, especially when compared in a similar price range. WHAT I LIKE (compared to my other Belkin surge protector): [+] Nicely and securely packaged in the box [+] Construction and quality feels solid and strong [+] 6ft cord that feels more flexible and manageable doesn't need the full length to the touch[+] Space-saving 90-degree low-profile connector[+] 1 dedicated socket for adapter box or bulky E-plug[+] Holes on the back for wall mounting![+] Peace of mind WHAT I DON'T LIKE[- ] As mentioned by other reviewers, the bottom light seems to be broken, but that doesn't matter to me as long as the protection indicator works[-] It would be nice to add 1 or 2 USB ports, but that will probably increase the price, so what is that. It's not a problem for me either, I don't know why, but now it's so hard to find a surge protection strip with keyholes on the back. I remember the days when all extension cords had locking holes on the back so you could wall mount it or attach it to something so it wouldn't move when you plugged and unplugged it. This APC surge protector is $3 more expensive than the comparable Belkin model, but you get a lot more features and better quality for that price difference, but the biggest difference is the peace of mind. Conclusion: 5 out of 5 stars. Highly recommended.
