Didn't protect my belongings when I had my first power outage, APC aren't responding to their hardware replacement policy, just the extension cord is dead. would not recommend

The cord comes out of the connector at an odd angle. Too bad I didn't know this before buying - the layout of my outlets requires the cord to run on the left side. Otherwise it looks great so far.

My fault is that I didn't fully test this when I first bought it, but about a month after I bought it I connected my mobile phone to the USB port to charge it. I did not work. I checked a few other points and found that none of the USB ports were getting power. It's too late to bring it back now. Regular sockets seem to work but I really wanted something with USB connectors, I think I'll have to throw it away and try another brand and hope it's a better quality.

I have purchased five APC PE76W (white) and PE76 (black) 7 outlet surge protectors to replace old ones that are no longer needed. (I've seen recommendations to replace them every year or two.)
