My Roomba 585 is having problems. The front wheel did not spin freely. When I took it off to clean it didn't stay in the case. The entire assembly is easy to remove as it just pops out with a little pressure. When I installed the new wheel, it didn't spin as freely as the original. Upon closer inspection, the metal rod showed an excess of plastic where it enters the main body sleeve. A little problem with quality control. I used a small nail file to trim off the excess burr, exposing the shaft completely. After installing it worked like new! It remains to be seen if it wears as well as the original, but so far it's looking good.
