what happened you used to be so good

Updated on 10/28. I have now switched to a box from the cable company. It has a better user interface, although I have to admit that I liked and missed the skip markers in more popular programs. In many ways I'm disappointed with Tivo now compared to what I've had in the past. I used Tivo from around 2002 to 2009 and liked both models. Maybe I've gotten used to the box by my provider by now, or maybe Tivo didn't keep up with the interface design, but I really struggled to get used to the menu system here. I use technology for life and by the way I'm not afraid to connect a network or home theater system. First, I need a stupid STOP button to record, and I also want to pause live when checking the manual, recording, or anything in the menu. I'm pretty sure I picked up this habit (pausing and waiting for FF by ads) from Tivo, so why has it changed? Setup is fine and my cable provider had no problem installing the cable card. Too bad I didn't know it was that antenna OR because I now have a brand new antenna that doesn't do anything. In general, things went well. I was happy to be able to access 4K where possible, but found that currently doesn't happen through the Tivo apps. I get full 4K instead of just streaming with my TV's apps. I'll do more research in the future, but unfortunately I doubt Tivo will be part of anything at this point.
