I decided to write an article about Mini Model Shop - store that I visited last weekend.

There are not so much stores like this one in whole world (I think). So, if you want to buy something nice for yourself (or someone else) don't waste your time and come here :)

Okay, first of all I would like to start with the size of the store - it is very tiny! From outside it looks like a hall or entrance to another big shop but when you step inside there's only little corner where cashier is placed. There is also storage room behind the cashier where rest of stuffs are kept. Yes yes, they have a lot of cool stuffs but most important fact for me was that they have minis in different scales. They are divided into three parts - 1/43 scale, 1/18 scale and what I was interested the most - 1/64 scale.

On the left side of cashier you will find 1/43 scale models wagons, locomotives and cars (I'm not good with these names). There are no any other scales on this side but I still think that there isn't too much choice for people who search something for themselves. Nothing special about them - no one wants to buy poor quality model at $60-70 right? But all models sold by Mini Model Shop come with signatures of artists so if you're fan of some artist this is very nice addition :) Other than that almost every model contains some little pieces of metal - if you have kids you have to be careful not so let them play with it... Well I think that is all about 1/43.

On the other side there are two parts - first thing that caught my attention were scale models of locomotives made by Brawa company. They are made in very good quality and they are huge! Most of them took me at least one hour to built (without painting). I was surprised how many details these models contain - for example even inside of cabin is modeled very nicely. Price range is from 88$ up to 260$. These model locomotives are real works of art, but do you want to spend this much money on it?

The second part is about 1/18 scale models made by Maisto. I think that these models are very well made and pretty cheap compare to other scales (the cheapest model is about 50$).

Last but not least part - 1/64 scale. The most popular scales in whole world... There is a lot of choice here so I'm going to tell what was interesting for me: first thing that caught my attention was a mini version of Maserati GranTurismo!! Looks very nice although I think that the front bumper looks weird or something like this, but

It's clear that the Mini Model Shop offers a variety of different scales, models and prices. They have something for everyone - from miniature versions of locomotives to Maserati GranTurismos in 1/64 scale! If you're looking for a gift idea or just want to buy yourself something new, this is definitely worth checking out.
