The best professional scissors I've found on Revain so far

Made in China, the geometry (shape) of the blade is very different from what I'm used to. However, this does not affect the fact that they work very well. I used professional grade scissors up to 14 inches long. They are too short and too light for me. 12 inches would be perfect for me personally. The difference between scissors and professional scissors is important when you are cutting multiple layers of fabric, e.g. B. Cut 8 layers while sewing multiple garments at the same time. The scissors are lighter and shorter than these, so you'll need to use some force on the handles to cut the fabric. If you only do one thing for yourself, you might prefer something lighter like Graf. But if you are serious about sewing then I would highly recommend them. The difference is that the extra weight does most of the contraction for you - you don't have to compress much at all. This way you can cut a lot of fabric without cramping and tiring your hands. They are made from high carbon steel which, if it is a tool steel, will retain its edge much longer than stainless steel. I've used mine extensively and still don't need to sharpen them. However, they are more prone to rust, so an occasional quick wipe down with a rag and sewing machine oil will protect them.
