Review on 🍽️ EatSmart Precision Elite Scale: 15 lb. Capacity, UltraBright Display & Stainless Steel Digital Kitchen Scale - Silver, 1 Count Pack by Charity Johnson

Extremely accurate scale

The reason for owning a scale is to be able to measure weight and do it with ACCURACY. An inaccurate scale is just as useless as an inaccurate clock (i.e. a clock that runs but cannot tell the exact time). This scale turned out to be exceptional by the accuracy standard. I bought this scale in April 2015 and after 2 years of use I tested its accuracy with a 2kg calibration weight. With the calibration weight on the scale, the display read 2.001 kg. This is an accuracy of 1 part in the year 2000 - an accuracy of 0.05 percent (1/20 of 1 percent). When evaluating a balance, it is important for the customer to understand the difference between ACCURACY and ACCURACY. ACCURACY refers to the scale's ability to show the DIFFERENCE between two readings. This can usually be recognized by the number of digits displayed. You should never confuse the number of digits displayed with the accuracy of the scale. You could potentially have a scale with lots of digits (high precision) but terrible accuracy. For example, you have a scale that displays up to 4 positions (like this scale) but the calibration weight shows as 2.735 kg. So the number of digits is not a measure of accuracy. Accuracy refers to a scale's ability to provide accurate weight readings. A scale accurate to 3 digits (regardless of the number of digits displayed) is better than a scale accurate to 4 or 5 digits, but only accurate to the second digit. Based on my observation of how these scales work and their exceptional accuracy, I would give them the highest recommendation.
