While it offers the most speed, it severely limits the gigabit internet you could get without it. The WiFi works great for what it is and the range is decent enough, but I'm really disappointed with the speeds coming from the ethernet cables. Less than 20% of the speed I got when the same cable was plugged directly into the jack. Considering I only have two devices connected to the router, my laptop and my PS4, and somehow the PS4 is getting faster speeds, almost half the original speeds I originally had without the router.
