I bought an old UTV. It was in fair condition for its age, but the plastic fenders were cracked. I wanted to repair them before further damage. I took this tool to try and if it didn't work I would go with a regular plastic welder. It worked great to fix the wings. The first photo is a before photo. Photos 2 and 5 after. Photo 4 shows the back of the repair. I used lots of staples to make sure it stays put. Figure 3 shows one of the brackets glowing red. I was surprised that the sensors didn't heat up at all. Just press the button and wait for the paperclip to light up. Push halfway through the plastic and twist slightly to lock the bracket under the plastic surface. Make sure you hold the tool still for a few seconds after releasing the trigger so it doesn't pull the bail out. However, the tool has some disadvantages. First, these are cutters. You are useless. Just throw them away. Second the case. The hinges come off too easily and the body holding the mounts is molded in place. Finally, I doubt many will use many of the interior and exterior angles for repairs. S-shaped brackets should be much more.
