I've researched so many HHD cases that I didn't want to buy any of them. So many problems for such a simple device, I can't believe it. HOW: Holes on the bottom for air access, I can add a few to the SIDING TOP. I also installed a broken old 500wd drive and this unit reported that the drive had problems and asked to verify the checksum. My old drive is noisy again now, but REPLACE SSD works for this old drive. I've only used it twice and so far I love it. These manufacturers are required to issue firmware updates. Otherwise these little boxes will break very quickly. When this box stops working, I buy a USB cable with an adapter for HHD and a 12V power supply that China sells for $5. They won't play their back-up game every year. Much luck.
