Received this based on reviews from people using it in a call center. I work from home in the basement next to a VERY NOISY stove. I had to turn off the heating while I was working (in the middle of winter) because my students could hear me over the stove. Now, if I don't have a microphone close enough, some of my students won't be able to hear me (this is also because the program I have to use for work isn't very good). This problem is easy to solve (move the microphone closer to your mouth). I haven't received a single complaint about background noise. The ear sections (headphones?) aren't noise-cancelling, but I do notice that the firebox is muted when I'm wearing headphones. It shocks me how loud it is and my students can't hear it AT ALL. Headphones with medium wearing comfort. No wonder. My ears don't hurt after four hours of use. Although I think it would hurt if I had to wear them for eight hours (but I don't think there are headphones that wouldn't hurt my sensitive ears. They cover my ears completely and stay in place even when I'm move a lot.They are perfect fantastic price.I dropped them once about a week ago since then there have been no ill effects.They have worked great from day one.I hope they will last a while.If and when this one Product starts to deteriorate (if it is over a year old) I will not hesitate to buy a replacement Edit January 20, 2021 I see the latest reviews, people made my experience I bought it back because that last pair broke due to mishandling by me, i had constant technical problems with them, the quality of the mic was terrible, the computer recognized the mic, off there was no sound from the microphone. It seems something has changed and the quality isn't what it used to be. Very disappointing .
