In general the kettle is excellent. It's fast, it's easy, it's attractive, if in essence there is no kettle in my opinion. In my opinion, it has the most important function for a kettle: continuous temperature adjustment depending on the degree. It reaches 104°, which I sometimes use. It's really well thought out and executed for the most part, so I'll pick it a bit harder where I think it's falling short. My only issue with it is the handle, grip and top cap. The plastic they are made of is not very pleasant. That's not bad, but given the care given to the rest of this wonderful device, it seems flimsy. It also ensures that the corners where the grip is flat don't feel good. With a teapot that's $50 cheaper and not as neatly made, I wouldn't even notice. But when it's packed with special twisted zip ties that are buttery smooth, it seems like those things shouldn't have been overlooked. Bottom line, I would (and should) recommend it to a friend. There are others that do their job just as well at a lower price, but it's a pleasure to use and be around well-made things. The built-in timer is also very useful. Who has a timer ready? i will do it now
