No longer working DVD

Part of the DVD no longer works. I had a Sony and now a Panasonic, both DVDs died in less than 2 years and Panasonic died 5 days after the warranty expired, numbers! still works! I use Panasonic phones and TVs. I'm done with your DVD players.
