Definitely silky
I would give this yarn five stars except it breaks and comes off easily so use a big eyed needle :). It is very silky, durable and looks very beautiful. I've found that if you cut the thread at an angle, like you cut the stem of a rose, it doesn't fray as easily. Enjoy!
