Update: After two years of use, the 'new' ignition coil started generating DTC P0308 again. I switch the coil from cylinder 8 to cylinder 2 and the code jumps to P0302 indicating the problem is in the coil again! Unfortunately I'm back with the same problem because now the problem is not sporadic but constant and they won't start the car until I change the coil. This time I will switch all coils to Accel Brand Coils once and for all! This brand is a perfect replacement for the original spool. For several months my car was throwing a trouble code after hard acceleration (code P0308) because a cylinder was misfiring. I blamed this symptom on the spark plugs and started replacing them all, 16. But months later the engine code and symptoms returned. Then I started inspecting the motor coils one by one and found that the eighth coil had a dent on the top of the coil (see picture). If I change it and erase the codes from the car computer, the car's performance goes back to what it was when I bought it. Now I'm calm!
