Review on Audio Amplifier Receiver Integrated Speakers by Dani Alvarez

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Almost too small in receivers and amplifiers

Delivery was poor: arrived in an open box. They didn't bother to put the manufacturer's box in an envelope, they just put a shipping label on the manufacturer's box and mailed it with no tape. The box was open when it arrived but everything seemed to be in the box. General: This amp is really small. There are hardly any connections on the back. You need banana plugs on the speaker wires. Banana plugs do not have the standard .75 inch spacing, so you will need single banana plugs instead of a double plug. The sound quality corresponds to the price and class of the amplifier. The power supply is 108 watts, so the power the amp puts out can be less, maybe even as little as 100 watts. The main reason to buy is if you are short on space like me, otherwise I would buy something with a built in power supply Disassembly: * PCB quality is good. A capacitor is not soldered flush to the circuit board. Capable of running at 30V and getting a bit more output power, there is no design leeway to increase the voltage. I don't think there is enough design leeway here, especially as the electrolytic capacitors always fail first.* The front panel was designed incorrectly .Matching The power switch openings are slightly offset which caused the switch to be pinched on the faceplate as they had to rotate the switch slightly to fit the faceplate (see photo).* It was a mistake. Typically banana forks are 0.75 inch spacing, which is the spacing that all double banana forks use. The spacing is 0.75 inches, but it's red to red and black to black, not red to black like it should be.
