Works as advertised, good sound quality.

I use it to control my entire 4 station home audio system. The device works great and cools. Quiet when not in use so it can stay on all the time - just what I needed. One thing I noticed is that when I turn the bass setting halfway up, the audio is completely muted and the power light goes off. out - I think it draws too much current/voltage for the loads I'm using it on. Doesn't really matter for my application. Another clue is that the power supply creates a damn spark when plugged into a…

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
Cons
  • Not as good as it promises

Bought this little one for our sunny room. I wanted something small and unobtrusive, but with decent sound quality and loud enough to get good backyard sound. This amp ticks all the boxes and more. As you can see from the pictures the overall footprint of the device is nice and small, what you can't tell from the pictures is how great it sounds. Use Roku or Amazon Dot as the sound source and drive a pair of Polk Atrium4 outdoor speakers. This amp can easily turn these speakers on to provide…

Good sounding amp. Treat claims of authority with caution. But buy it.

This little amp sounds good. The TP3116 chip is a favorite of audio enthusiasts. Take claims of power with a grain of salt. For the most part it behaves like a good 15-20 watt class A/B amp. Use it with some BIC 90dB sensitivity speakers in my garage where I can turn them up loud enough to disrupt normal conversations. Sounds best at low to medium SPLs, which is pretty damn good. Sounds better with my Debut B6, but that's for a different room. I don't have to worry about connecting to my…

Very impressive little amp with big unexpected power

just got this amp and hooked it up to his 8 ohm Bose bookshelf speakers. I'm an audiophile and very critical of sound quality. This tiny little amp is very impressive. The picture and clarity is much better than the big 1990's Onkyo amp I used. a little hot in the 12K to 15K range, but that can easily be corrected with a small EQ tweak. Volume is impressive. I use it near field (about 3ft from my ears) and it's pretty loud, only 25%. 50% blows his head. Includes banana plugs (no plug required…

Almost too small in receivers and amplifiers

Delivery was poor: arrived in an open box. They didn't bother to put the manufacturer's box in an envelope, they just put a shipping label on the manufacturer's box and mailed it with no tape. The box was open when it arrived but everything seemed to be in the box. General: This amp is really small. There are hardly any connections on the back. You need banana plugs on the speaker wires. Banana plugs do not have the standard .75 inch spacing, so you will need single banana plugs instead of a…

From fiber to four rear channels

I tested this Fosi device for my rear speakers to get 7.1. The first attempt was a Bluetooth (BT) solution (I later abandoned the BT transceiver due to latency and inconsistent coupling/noise/dropouts). I hooked it up like this: AV Receiver Amplifier Out (not Preamp) >> BT Transmitter >> BT Receiver >> Fosi Amplifier >> Speakers. This was the best solution for BT but since BT wasn't good I just hooked it up like this: AV Receiver Preout >> Fosi Amplifier >&gt…

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Not sure

I've read good reviews for this little amp but it just didn't work for me. I felt that the distortion was audible at almost any volume and that it wasn't strong enough to be of any use. Since this is a class D amp, and cheap class D amps have a high output impedance in series with the speakers, I suspect the reason it sounded bad to me was because the speakers' frequency response was distorted by high frequencies frequencies was affected. output impedance. For those unfamiliar with this, this…
