Review on πŸ’¨ Jet 69112 Powr-Flo Mass Air Flow Sensor by Chris Quinto

Revainrating 3 out of 5

It will work if you know how to make changes to it.

Item arrived on time and in good condition. I am not a shade tree technician, I have been a technician for over 20 years. I installed this on my truck as I already have a K&N cold air intake, oversized throttle body, true dual exhaust, superchip, underdrive pulleys, headers and more installed. I disconnected the battery to reset the computer when I installed. Didn't work that well in the first run. I took a running loop and ran it. The next day I went to the lake and on the way home the engine light came on. i wasn't happy Pulled out the codes and found the mass airflow code. I've gone through the computer reboot 3 times. I was willing to return this product as it wasn't cheap to buy. The only thing I didn't like was the sensor used. The original mass air flow sensor extended to the middle of the housing. It has a 1980s-style ad that doesn't go very far. I decided I wanted to do this job for more airflow to the engine. I used a drill to make the sensor tube bigger. I then used my dream to polish the larger hole after drilling. Reinstalled the drive and rebooted. This time it works better and the check engine light no longer comes on. After this modification I had no problems with it. I should have given less stars because of all the work I had to do to make it work. I noticed in other reviews that others had the same problem. I couldn't find another product like this so I ordered it. The jet needs to use a flow stand and see where the air is going as most people who take it to the full have many upgrades on their engines. If I didn't have to make all the changes to it, this would be a 5 star product.

  • Automotive
Cons
  • Good but not great
