I've been putting off reviewing the items I bought from Amazon and finally came to this one. This product works and keeps your phone in place when the road is slick. But as soon as you start driving on rough roads, the phone may fall over, especially if you're driving a truck or SUV. By the way, this is for the metal bracket that you plug into the phone case. I haven't had a chance to try the piece of metal with the adhesive backing that you attach to the phone itself. This can stick to a magnet better than a piece of metal you stick in a phone case. Edit: 6.13.18. I've put off long enough to edit my review of this product. I bought another Nekteck magnetic car mount as I was happy with my previous purchase of the same item. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about my second purchase. Quality control seems to have deteriorated since I bought my first product. First of all, the magnet is not as strong as the first one I bought. The first time the phone actually stuck to the magnet. On the second, the phone slipped and several times my 7+ fell off the mount when I hit a bump. Second, the pivot and locking mechanism isn't that great for tightening. It's loose and no matter how tight you tighten it will still come loose and your phone will either tip upside down or sideways before falling. Again, I had no problems with my first product. I hope the company was able to resolve their quality control issues as again I was completely satisfied with my first order from them and still use a magnetic phone holder in my car. . This is the latest I bought almost a year ago, not by much.
