This tool sets the glazing points used to hold the glass in the wooden sash. If you're renovating or re-glazing more than just a window or two, it's definitely worth it. It works well with the regular jagged tip type as well as the traditional triangular style. The shape and design of the tool allows the tips to be inserted perfectly parallel to the glass without applying downward force to the glass like a spatula. Over the past few years I have restored most of the hundred year old wooden windows in my house and have successfully broken through about a hundred points of glazing with this tool.
