Doesn't matter. Order more than you think you need.

What a difference! I installed this on the front doors of my 2016 Toyota 4Runner. I installed one layer inside the door panel (against the back of the outer layer of the door) and one layer outside the door panel (the part you can see immediately when you remove the plastic door panel). One set (12 square feet) covers both layers on a door. If you only do one coat, the kit will easily cover both doors. Too bad I didn't know that when ordering because now I have to order another set to make another door. I will probably order 5 more kits to cover the two rear doors and the tailgate. It is expensive, but it really helps with road noise (I have a 3" lift with very big noisy tires). The sound quality of my newly upgraded speakers has greatly improved. It was relatively easy to install. just peel, stick and roll. The hardest part was getting into the corners on the inside of the door. The edges of the metal are very sharp. I recommend wearing gloves and a long-sleeved shirt to avoid cutting your hands and forearms. The edges of the metal are very sharp.
