At first I thought the LCD display might be a gimmick, but being able to read a specific temperature turned out to be very useful. When melting embossing powder, a setting of about 700 degrees is equivalent to guns designed specifically for embossing powder. The temperature of the shrink tubing depends on its thickness. Just use a piece of scrap metal as a test piece and note the optimal temperature. The legs, which can be extended to form a tripod, are very effective. This works well for a hands-free shrunken head or for cooling the gun after use. Temperature readings are still visible in tripod mode. Comes with two tips, a concentrator and a splitter. The splitter works for heat shrink tubing, but I wish they had half tubing that meets the back of the heat shrink tubing so I don't have to twist the tubing. I'll get an extra splitter to create a semi-circular nozzle.
