My chickens just went outside at 5 weeks. They get scared when it's dark and everyone crowds into birdhouses. I put these lamps in the chicken coop. Now they sleep through the night with no problems. These lights need to be turned on and off every day. You can't leave them on all the time and think they're working at night. Sometimes I'm in a hurry and forget that I have two sets. The one who is always charged with incase. Works great, bright. I think they will come in handy when they start laying.
