Review on Charging JSAUX Braided Compatible Controller by Carlos Chan

He has changed. on Computers and Accessories

Well this isn't the first time I've bought this and to be honest I'm surprised I didn't review it sooner. Cables are ideal for most applications. The cable is smooth and will not snag when rubbed against something. The loading speed is phenomenal and the design suits my aesthetic as evidenced by the mouse pad in the background. I lost a cable to a friend and a non-tech savvy family member recently got a USB-C phone, so I bought another set and kept one. A few little things and one big thing have changed since the first purchase. On the USB-C connector side, the metal connector is no longer a piece that has been bent into shape, but a closed circle perfect for charging (judging by other older reviews, that's probably why some of them glow. Don't smash your bits against other things). Another minor element is black plastic. The material has changed a bit. The Mark 1 felt more like silicone and the Mark 2 has more plastic, it's probably just a manufacturing change and it won't make much of a difference unless you get your hands on the plastic parts. The Mark 2 also seems to be a bit stiffer, but that's just due to usage. The design at the ends of the fork has also changed. Mark 1 has "Type C" on USB C side and JSAUX on USB A. Mark 2 has JSAUX on USB C with standard USB symbol on USB A; with velcro with JSAUX and support email on it. One big thing that has changed, which many of you can tell from the photos, is the strap. The Mark 1 used a leather latch to manage the auxiliary cable, but it could not be removed. The Mark 2 uses an easily removable Velcro strap. While I understand the ease of use and cost savings of Velcro over leather, it also robbed me of some functionality. If there were options to buy with a small difference in price I would be more grateful.
